Vacation Hot Spot?
I have some time off at the beginning of September. I want to go someone on a nice, relaxing vacation. Getting a nice suntan could be okay, too! Does anyone have any ideas? I will probably be traveling alone, so I am not willing to go outside the U.S. If you know of any really cool places, let me know!

Williamsburg, VA is one of the coolest places in the U.S., especially if you've never been there before. Walking the historic park and talking with the Character Guides would make being alone very bearable. You can schedule lunch in a Tavern if you'd rather not go out to dinner alone.
If a beach is more your style, you might consider Sea Island/St. Simon's Island. The island is covered in trees and the beaches are beautiful. Great places to eat, too. There's a wonderful place called the "Beach Bed and Breakfast" that Don and I visited for our 10th anniversary. If you consider going, e-mail me and I'll give you the low-down.
